What is it?
At OLIVEDA, we replace the usual 70% water content found in traditional skincare products with the highly potent and bioactive Olea Europaea Olive Leaf Cell Elixir which contains the phenolic beauty molecule Hydroxytyrosol. This is known as Waterless Beauty. In traditional skin care formulations, water is usually listed first on the ingredient label because it's the ingredient with the highest amount in the formula, often up to 70% of the product.
Where does it come from?
Water may appear lower in the OLIVEDA product label INCIs because it is simply a breakdown from other ingredients, beyond the emulsion base. For example, after harvest, the olive leaves are washed and pressed to extract the active ingredients. After washing some water may remain.
