Jojoba Esters.
What is it?
Jojoba esters are natural, wax-like substances derived from jojoba oil. They are formed by combining the fatty acids and fatty alcohols found in jojoba, creating a stable, non-greasy ingredient that mimics the skin’s natural oils. Jojoba esters are commonly used as emollients and for texture in skincare.

Where does it come from?
Jojoba esters come from the seeds of the Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) plant, which is native to arid regions of North America. After extraction, jojoba oil undergoes a process called hydrogenation to produce jojoba esters, resulting in a more solid, waxy form with more stability.
